Angela Adams
Angela Adams was raised on an island 12 miles off the coast of maine. Her upbringing gives her a fresh perspective on design. Her rugs are works of art for the floor, grounding the room in color and texture. Many of Angela Adams' designs are influenced by the Maine coastline...waves, islands, the eb and flow of the tides, the barnacles on the rocks. They have a certain timelessness blended with a modern edge that lends her designs to a wide variety of environments and styles.
Angela Adams received her education in interior design at the Philadelphia Art Institute. She has been intrigued by treating rugs as paintings. Each pattern is composed by layering colors and textures. Each rug is hand tufted from New Zealand wool using age-old techniques.
-
Angela Adams rugs are made from only the hightest quality industry standard dyes. These dyes have very good light-fast qualities, however you should always give your rug the normal protection from direct sunlight you would give any colored fabric. Rotate your rug occasionally to equalize wear and sun effects.
-
Angela Adams rugs are naturally thick and luxurious. New wool carpet sheds loose fibers or fluff. This is the normal result of fibers left in the rug during the manufacturing process. Regular vacuuming will remove these fibers over the first few months. Remember, you can't over vacuum your rug!
-
Occasionally, through normal wear, a yarn tuft may work its way to the surface of your Angela Adams rug. Never pull these out, simply snip long cut pile yarns even to the surface and loops individually as low as you can.
