Each one of the Palm Springs Vases is hand-thrown by skilled artisans in Jonathan Adler's Peruvian workshop. The vibe—crafty yet couture, graphic yet organic—is achieved through levels of rigorous craftsmanship.
Thrown from black stoneware infused with chunky grog and trimmed and chattered* to create a striated texture. Patterns are masked off using tape and wax resist and finished with a satin-matte ivory glaze. Why not cluster three on a mantle or a bookshelf to create an haute hippie skyline?
*Chattering is created when a potter rhythmically bounces a tool across the vessel's surface.
