A mid-century classic, George Nelson first designed the Bubble Lamp in 1947 for Howard Miller. The firm eventually discontinued the line in 1979. Herman Miller now manufactures the lamps using the original tooling. The Bubble Lamp is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The Nelson lamps are made from a steel frame with polymer covering. The floor lamps have a 6.5lb base for stability with an in-line on/off floor switch and a 9' cord.
