The same breakthrough technology that resulted in the Herman Miller® Eames Molded Plywood Chair -Time magazine's design of the 20th century—is used to create this clean, understated coffee table's molded plywood legs. Two top sizes and multiple finish options are available.
Charles and Ray Eames began experimenting with molded wood in the early 1940s, pressing thin sheets of veneer against a heated membrane machine – to perfect their signature molded plywood shaping technology. The Eames Rectangular Coffee Table (1946), with gently curved legs, derives from that technology and shows a commitment to honest materials and techniques.
