Eero Saarinen designed his classic pedestal table in 1956 with the idea to reduce the design of a table and chairs to its essence and to "clear up the slum of legs." Saarinen attended the legendary Cranbrook Academy of Art and Design, along with Charles and Ray Eames, Harry Bertoia and Florence Knoll. Saarinen partnered with Knoll on this collection and Knoll has been producing it ever since.
The Saarinen table offers almost endless options to personalize your space. It looks great with a wide range of chairs and decor styles. The base is constructed from molded cast aluminum polished and coated in tough, abrasion-resistant rilsan finish (black & white).
